Norman K. Anderson
CRESWELL - A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at Fir Grove Cemetery in Cottage Grove for Norman Knute Anderson of Creswell, who died Jan. 7 of age-related causes. He was 88.
Anderson was born Jan. 16, 1918, in San Francisco to Samuel and Selma Anderson. He married Shirley Anderson. She died on May 21, 1988.
He served in the Army between 1941 and 1943 as a medic on the hospital ship Hope in the South Pacific.
He worked as a carpet installer.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Adams of Tualatin and Cynthia Boydstun of Fair Oaks, Calif.; a sister, June McGhee of Whittier, Calif.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
