JOSEPH AUGUST Passed away on November 15, 2005 in Hayward at the age of 80 years. Born in San Leandro, California. Retired U.S. Postal Service employee, Graduating class of 1943 of San Leandro High School. Served in the Navy in World War II. Past member of American Softball Association, Hayward Umpires Association, worked for Hayward Area Recreation Dept., loved sports and had a passion for the Casino's. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years Merle August of Hayward. Loving daughter Sharolyn August of Stockton and his sons Michael and Larry August of Hayward, and his late son Don August in 1991. Cherished grandchildren Lindsay, Janelle, Amanda and Larry Jr. and 2 Great Grandchildren.
