Walter B. Billings, age, 86 of Pennsville died Friday November 16, 2007 at the Christiana Hospital, Newark DE. Born in Clifton, NJ and raised in Clarks Summit, PA. He was the son of the late Ernest and Caroline Jenkins Billings. Walt has lived in Pennsville for the past 19 years.
He was employed as an accountant for IBM in Gaithersburg, MD where he retired in 1987 following 31 years of service. Walt was a member and pastor of visitation for the Trinity United Methodist Church of Pennsville, and a 50 year member of Round Hill Masonic Lodge #533 Endicott, NY. He was also very active in the Pennsville Community and attended Township and School Board meetings. Walt loved sports and was fondly known as "Pop".
Survived by his wife 65 years Mae L James Billings, daughters, Diana L Roberts of Dallaston, PA and Denise L White and her husband Andy of Pennsville, brother, William Sandlin of Hawley, PA, sister, June Sherman of Virginia Beach, VA, five grandchildren; Tracey, Curtis, Keith Roberts of PA and Kemberlee and Justin Rizzo of Pennsville, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Predeceased by a daughter Linda Billings, and a son James W. Billings.
