Junior L. Boughan

CANTON - Junior "Skeeter" Boughan, 71, of 404 Rudolf, Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Canton, died Sunday morning, Nov. 6, 1994, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Nashville.
Born May 6, 1923, in Canton to Archie L. and Mabel Davis Boughan, he married Mary Louise Strode on Dec. 31, 1945, in Palmyra, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Terry of Canton, Garry of Bloomington and Ricky of Indianapolis; one brother, James E. of Canton; two sisters, Veda Rupp and Elsie Arterburn, both of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. One son, Randy, one brother and one sister also preceded him in death.
He was a Navy veteran, serving on the USS Hope hospital ship.
He was a country-western singer on several stations, including WBYS in Canton, WHO in Des Moines, Iowa, WLS National Barn Dance in Chicago, WLW Radio and TV in Cincinnati and WWVA in Wheeling, W.Va. He recorded on the RCA Victor label. He was a member of a musicians union.
He was a member of Lockeland Baptist Church in Nashville. Interment is in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
