Prosper F. Connelly, 63, of 1124 W. 38th St., died Wednesday morning at the Erie V.A. Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Erie and had been a life long resident here. He had been employed by the City of Erie in the City Planning and Zoning Dept. for the past 20 years. Mr. Connelly had served with the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserve for about 20 years as a chief boatswains mate. He had spent about five years in the Pacific Theater of Operations during WW II. He is survived by his wife, Rose Vendetti Connelly; three sons, Shad, Jeffrey A. and Marc A. Connelly; two brothers, John Connelly of Louisiana, Robert Connelly of Toledo; five sisters, Mrs. Faye (Nan) Youngs of State Line, Ripley; Mrs. Michael (Eloise) Abella of Parma, Ohio; Mrs. Maurice (Peggy) Johnston of Ft. Lauderdale; Mrs. Victor (Joan) Sobelewski of Running Mead, NJ; and Mrs. Raymond (Sally) Nason of Erie; and several nieces and nephews. St. George/Sacred Heart/Calvary.
