George C. Lang

George C. Lang, age 84, of Roseburg, OR, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2004. He was born October 19, 1919 in Okanogan, WA, the son of Mike and May (Ratcliff) Lang. He was raised and educated in the Odessa/Okanogan area.
He entered the Navy on September 16, 1943 to serve our country during World War II. After the war, he returned to Washington and married Evelyn Gronning in Skykomish, WA. She preceded him in death. He went to work for the Burlington-Northern Railroad, retiring as an engineer after 38 years. On December 13, 1986 he was united in marriage to Janet Marie (Osborne-Clark) in Arlington, WA. They just recently moved to Ritzville, WA to the Roseburg area.
He is survived by his wife, Janet of Roseburg; four daughters, Linda M. (Don) Garrison of Roseburg, Karen A. (Jack) Davis of Monroe, WA, Judy A. (Steve) Anderson of Clear Lake, WA, and Jeanette H. Blair of Fairfield, IA; two sons, Jimmy E. (Jennifer) Lang of Monroe, and Charlie E. Osborne of Everett, WA; two brothers, Wilfred (Gayle) Lang of Post Falls, ID and Harry (Delores) Land of Mt. Vernon, WA; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn; a son; a grandson; four sisters; and a brother.
