William F. Sanders

September 21, 1998 - William F. (Beany) Sanders, 75, of Stroudsburg, died on Monday at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Mary (Lisik) Sanders, they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last October.
Born in Bangor, he was the son of the late Edwin and Edith (Hinton) Sanders.
He was a 1940 graduate of Stroudsburg High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II aboard the USS Hope, serving in the Southern Philippines, Western Pacific, Eastern Mandates, Luzon Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea and Ryukus battles and campaigns.
He worked for Sears, Roebuck and Co. as the Automotive Manager, for 33 years, retiring in 1985.
He was a member of the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Cramsey of Stroudsburg and Carol Decker of Stroudsburg; a brother, John Sanders of Pottstown; and 3 grandchildren, Kierstin, Danielle and Bill.
