Almer Clyde Weaver, 85, of Skowhegan, Maine, died Jan. 18, 2006, at Redington Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan, Maine. A memorial service was held Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel in Pittsfield, Maine. A memorial service for Clyde and Jean Weaver will be held in Spearfish in July. The exact date is pending. Clyde was born April 2, 1920, in Spearfish, the son of Almer and Inez (Sandusky) Weaver. He married Nellie Jean Jefferson on May 26, 1946 and was an oil refinery operator, working in many places in the world. He had a good sense of humor was entertaining with his harmonica, and wherever he lived he brought joy to others around him. His hobbies included listening to Roger Miller and watching John Wayne movies.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Weaver and his wife, Vickie, of Pittsfield, Maine; two grandsons, Matthew Weaver and his wife Jennifer of Brunswick, and Craig Weaver and his wife, Brandi of Durham; one great-grandson, Cameron; a brother, Tead Weaver and his wife, Freda, of Upton, Wyo.; two sisters, Betty Anderson, of Spearfish, and Colleen Travis, of Lawton, Okla.; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his wife's mother, Mable Jefferson; and a daughter, Merideth.
