Albert B. Welch, 82, building contractor, died Thursday at his home. He was an Army veteran, who received a Purple Heart, a founding member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church and a founding member of Munford Regional Planning Commission. Mr. Welch, the husband of Ruby Gillihan Welch for 61 years, also leaves three sons, Charles Welch of Brighton, Robert Welch of Collierville and Danny Welch of Atoka; a sister, Annie Mai Welch Hughey of Covington, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
