Leon was born on October 5, 1922 and passed away on Friday, April 10, 2009.
Leon was a resident of West Oneonta, New York at the time of his passing.
Leon was a graduate of Oneonta High School.
He was a United States Navy veteran serving from 1941 to 1965, during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He obtained the rank of Master Chief Shipfitter and Second Class Diver.
He was married to Mary.
A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held at the West Oneonta Cemetery on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Keith VanDewerker, retired, officiating. Following the service a reception will be held at the West Oneonta Fire Department.
